Searching for the light

At some point in our life, we got off tracks. We started neglecting priorities, opting for what’s pleasurable instead of what’s important. We got blinded by the glitters. We went off the straight path.

And then, something bad happens to us. We fell, we crashed. The glitters faded away and are replaced with darkness. Only then, we realize that we’ve strayed away. “What have I done?”, we asked ourselves.

Now, we started to learn that we need to change our ways. Our innate fitrah to be good is pushing us to make a momentous leap. We need to get back on the right path. But the problem is, we’ve strayed so far that we doubt we’d ever see the light again. The truth is, the light is always there, only our eyes weren't able to see it for darkness has consumed us.

Hitting rock bottom gave us the realization to search for the light. But where do we begin?

Should we search for it in other people? Should we walk a thousand miles to find it? But how could we, when our body has become so weak, that even crawling is torturous?

Dear, look up. The Light is there, always there with you.

While you were crashing, The Light was watching with so much compassion. While you were weeping, The Light was wiping your tears. While you were losing hope, The Light was reaching out to awaken your heart with His Hope.

So bow down in prostration, and feel the embrace of The Most Compassionate, The Most Merciful. Whisper your troubles to Him, and feel the burdens being lifted off your shoulders. Acknowledge your weaknesses to Him, and feel your heart being purified.

For He is The Light we've been searching for, and to Him we shall return.
